The Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) Orientation introduces incoming students and
families to disability support services at Bellarmine. These sessions are specifically designed
for students seeking accommodation support and are intended to help students better
understand accessibility resources, accommodations in higher education, and how to
advocate for their needs in college.

Topics covered at orientation will include:
  • Requesting & renewing Accommodations
  • Using approved accommodations effectively
  • Disability rights & responsibilities
  • Differences between high school &college accommodations
  • Communicating with instructors
  • Self-advocacy in higher education
  • ARC technology tools & assistive resources
  • Campus support services & resources
